Start being selective about who you work for. Build a brand that attracts the people who value what you do - and are willing to pay for it.
“We do quality work” is NOT a unique selling point. If your competitor says the same thing as you - it’s not a point of difference. Want to stand out? Solve a specific pain point your ideal client actually cares about.
But most tradies never reconnect with the real reason they went out on their own. They lose their “why” under invoices, staff issues, and long days.
Old fashioned customer service isn’t outdated. Focus on Needs, Every experience, Ask, Reward (NEAR) to delight customers and generate more word-of-mouth referrals.
